Insomnia is an issue that many people often experience. Even if trivial, sleep that can even be done easily sometimes becomes difficult to do and become a serious problem.

Quite disturbing indeed, especially if the next you have a show or important activities. What will happen is that you sleep and wake up. On the other hand, there are many people who can sleep for hours and will not wake up if the clock has not been fulfilled.

What is insomnia?

Insomnia that also known as sleeplessness, is a sleep disorder in certain people that have trouble sleeping. They have some difficulty in falling asleep, or maybe keep staying asleep as long as they desired. Insomnia is basically followed by daytime sleepiness, irritability, and a depressed mood.

People with insomnia have one or more of the following symptoms:
  • Difficulty falling asleep. 
  • Waking up often during the night
  • Having trouble to going back to sleep during the night.


What causes insomnia?

Insomnia in general can be caused by different things, for example, it is because of the habit of staying and can also be a derivative disease. The habit is judged to be able to provide more time for us who has a job or other interests. But a habit of excessive farming will actually make your body accustomed to sleep late at night, even until early in the morning.

How to fight insomnia naturally?

1. Avoid doing various kinds of activities on the bed.
The habit of doing various activities on the bed can make our body become accustomed not to sleep while trying to sleep on the bed, and will have a hard sleep even long lying on the bed though.

2. Set the time to sleep every day.
The importance of sleeping on time is able to make our body sleep needs to be fulfilled, so you will be able to wake up in time anyway.

3. Avoid heavy food consumption at night.
Consuming excessive food can interfere with the sleep also loh. It is not only a feeling of satiety in the stomach, but it can also cause you to experience food coma. Food coma is a sleep caused by excessive lethargy that results in consuming too much food. As a result, you will wake up to sleep at night. Try not to eat again at least 3-4 hours before bedtime.

4. Try not to use the gadget when going to sleep.
Instead of making us sleepy, the use of gadgets can actually make our brains continue to work and keep us awake at night. Get rid of your gadget if it is already entering time to sleep.

5. Reduce the light intensity of the room.
One of the easiest things to do is turn off the lights. But if you are accustomed to not being able to sleep in a dark state, you can use a nightlight. Because of the minimal conditions of illumination can make our eyes tired and sleepy.

6. Read the book.
It's because I'm pretty sure that most people will feel bored even sleepy if reading a book at night. Maximize this way by reading a book with a yellowish background or paper that will make us faster sleepy.

7. Drink milk.
Drinking milk can help our body to get sleepy quickly because it feels more relaxed. That's because milk contains tryptophan that are useful for making the body feel more relaxed and easier to sleep.
